The movie theater nearest to my house plays this before every single movie - and has been doing so since roughly 2006 (Meet the Robinsons came out in 2007, but I bet they started playing this before the actual movie release).
I go to the movies a LOT (I memorized the song years ago), and this little ditty has become such a part of the experience that I was actually SUPER UPSET a few weeks ago when I went to see something and they played that clip with the Barbie dolls sitting in a giant cup of soda like it’s a hot tub instead.
I gave an audible “NOOOOO! Where are Frankie and the Frogs!?!?!??!”
I talked about it for at least 6 minutes on the drive home.
Obviously they got a lot of complaints about the frog discontinuation, because when I went back again last week - the frogs had returned to their rightful pre-movie slot!!!
…..where they need to stay forever.
Even if I move away, when I come back to visit and inevitably see a movie - I WANT THE FROGS TO BE THERE.
Side note - I still haven’t seen Meet the Robinsons. I’m just going to assume that it’s not as good as its promotional movie theater etiquette song.
